A: A Guest can peruse but cannot bid, purchase or sell in Auctions or Outlets. Only registered members can perform these activities.

A: Certified Suppliers can sell their products, in lots of any size, through an open access system of Auctions and Outlets.

Q: What are the advantages of being a Qualified Buyer on the CSEM Global Trade Portal?

A: A CSEM Global Trade Portal qualified Buyer may procure products from many foreign countries, the United States or Canada, in the following industries: Automotive, Computer Products, Construction and Hardware, Consumer Electronics, Electrical and Electronics Equipment, Food and Beverages, Furniture and Accessories, Jewelry and Decorative Items, Leather Goods and Footwear, Medical Equipment and Supplies, Metal Mechanics, Oil and Gas, Paper & Packaging, Pharmaceuticals & Chemicals, Plastics, Printed Materials and Textiles and Apparel.   Qualified Buyers can purchase items through Auctions and Outlets. An escrow service partner’s guarantee that a Qualified Buyers payment will not be released to the Certified Supplier until the Qualified Buyer is fully satisfied with the product as received. Additionally, because the CSEM Portal Administration wants to ensure that all Qualified Buyers are satisfied with the products they have purchased, they may waive its transaction commission if the Qualified Buyer rejects the purchased product for any reason. Finally, the CSEM Global Trade Portal Qualified Buyers may verify their credit standing on-line prior to the acquisition of products for ease of international billing and invoicing.

Q: What are the advantages of being a Certified Supplier on the CSEM Global Trade Portal?

A: Each Certified Supplier is offered the opportunity to have its own Marketing Outlet. At its Outlet, the Certified Supplier may display its company logo, business profile and up to 3,000 different products for sale in Auctions and Outlets. The CSEM Portal can provide escrow services for all transactions to provide a secure selling environment. They can also make available ground and air transportation resources (as needed) and handle all customs clearances, duty proceedings and payment of tariffs, in the transfer of goods from Certified Supplier to Qualified Buyer. In addition, the portal can supply on-line credit verification to U.S. or Canadian Qualified Buyers for the purchase of their products through partnerships with credit providers.

A: To purchase products on the CSEM Global Trade Portal, a company must be registered as a Qualified Buyer. The registration process requires entering all the necessary data in the CSEM Business Directory.
